Re-opening of Car Parks and Toilets

Following our earlier news update from the National Park Authority (NPA), we are pleased to let you know that they have now published a provisional timetable for the re-opening of visitor sites and facilities around the National Park. We have pulled out some key points for you below, however for additional information, please refer to the NPA website. We have provided a link here: our website

  • Car Parks and toilets are a priority
  • From 3rd July all car parks will reopen across the Park
  • Some toilets in visitor 'hot spots' will also reopen including Luss, Balmaha, Milarrochy, Rowardennan and Tarbet
  • In some locations, additional temporary toilets are in place to allow for additional hygiene measures and social distancing
  • Further toilet facilities will open on 11th July, along with Duncan Mills Memorial Slipway at Balloch
  • Campsites will remain closed until 17th July
  • NPA are working hard to manage the anticipated visitor pressures and to reassure local communities

We hope you are all able to get out and enjoy more of the National Park now that restrictions are easing. Remember that face masks, gloves and hand sanitiser is available from the Community Council.
